Abington Sr. High School Scholarship

Today, we proudly presented our 10th scholarship award at Abington Senior High School. Congratulations to Kenny McKenzie, a volunteer at Abington Fire Company!

Today was the 9th presentation of the David G Kelble Jr Scholarship at Abington High School. We would like to congratulate Charles Shefcik, a volunteer at McKinley Fire Company and Michael Franchetti, a volunteer at Abington Fire Company. Two deserving canidates of this year’s scholarships. Thank you to everyone who has supported us in honoring David and supporting the first responder community over the last nine years.

The 2022 recipients of the David G Kelble Jr Scholarship at Abington High School are James Scholly and Teague Dougherty. James is a member of the Glenside Fire Company. Teague is a member of the Edge Hill Fire Company. Congratulations James and Teague, we are happy to present this scholarship to two deserving candidates. Thank you for your service!

The 2020 recipient of the David G Kelble Jr Scholarship at Abington High School is Madalyn McCann. Madalyn is a member of the Glenside Weldon Fire Company and is studying to become an EMT. On 6/15/2021 we finally got a chance to meet and get some pictures with Madalyn at the firehouse. Congratulations Madalyn, you are very deserving of the scholarship, and we thank you for your service!

Today the Kelble family would like to congratulate Madalyn McCann on receiving the David G. Kelble, Jr Scholarship award at Abington High School. Madalyn is very deserving of this award as she has worked hard in school and is dedicated to her community as a member of the Weldon Fire Company. We thank her for her service and we thank everyone who has supported us in honoring David and supporting the first-responder community over the last 7 years.
2020 continues to be such a unique year. We are saddened that we were unable to present this award at the graduation ceremony as we have done for the past five years.
