Grants

Helmets Off 4 David is proud to help support the Community Ambulance Association of Ambler in Ambler, PA.

Through the assistance of one of their board members we were able to make a grant to pay for a number of training kits for their EMTs.  (We are looking to get pictures of this equipment when the time is right.  On September 1, 2021 a devastating tornado touched down in the Fort Washington, Ambler and Horsham areas.  As one of first responder organizations in the affected area, the EMTs of this organization are true heroes and deserving of as much support as we can give.)

In June 2021, Helmets Off 4 David was connected with the Fleetville Volunteer Fire Company in Fleetville, PA. We asked how we could help and were told of a number of equipment needs.  Based on the support that they provide the community near Fleetville, including highway rescues on Rt 81, we found that we could help by providing money for safety vests and leather boots.  We are happy to help a very deserving volunteer fire company!  See our page under Events to see pictures of our table at the 9/11/2021 Fall Fair and a vest that we helped Fleetville purchase.

On 6/15/2021 Helmets Off 4 David finally got the opportunity to get pictures of the Air Masks donated in 2020.  Because of COVID restrictions, we felt it best to wait before getting pictures with the firefighters.   Thank you to the firefighters who gave of their time to model the masks for us and a special thanks to Tom Lyons of the Glenside Weldon Fire Company for arranging our meeting.

The David G. Kelble, Jr Memorial foundation (Helmets off 4 David) has made a donation to Horsham Fire Company to assist in raising funds for the purchase of a decontamination unit for use with their and other local emergency organization’s equipment. This unit is vital to keeping our first responders safe. With your generous donations to our foundation we were able make this grant. THANK YOU!

We at Helmets off 4 David would like to thank every 1st responder and the medical personnel that are helping on the front lines right now. Your dedication and bravery are to be applauded every day, not just now.
We would like to share that our latest grant, that was started late last year, is for new air masks for the Weldon Fire Company The masks have been ordered but have not yet arrived. We hope that they add to the volunteers’ safety while fighting fire.
